Silver Maple

Scientific Name: Acer saccharinum
Also known as: The creek maple, soft maple, water maple, swamp maple, white maple

Locust

Scientific Name:  Trees of the genera Gleditsia or Robinia. Such as Gleditsia triacanthos, Robinia pseudoacacia
Common Types of Locust: The Honey locust, The Black Locust


​The Honey locust has pods with a sweet, edible pulp, while the Black locust's pods are toxic.

The American sycamore is also known as the American planetree, occidental plane, and the buttonwood.

The shagbark has a sweet, edible nut.
